For us (group of 6, ages 26-29) this place was ideal. Our main purpose was to have a good time among ourselfs and have privacy around the pool and have the possibility to have our own barbeque. El Campello and Casa Doric is a place, I believe we will return to! Everything in the villa was clean and the beautiful garden surrounding it well-maintained. Most of the time we spent at the villa's porch around the table, eating, drinking and having a good, relaxing time. Car is needed to get to the location and to the nearest town, where there were shops and markets to get all the needed goods.
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in El Campello. There were plenty of restaurants in the town of El Campello along the beach. If you get a proper map, you will get around easy, driving to the nearby towns and villages. The tourist info will give you the flyers or pamphlets of the local sights and sports. Local train is also a good way to see the surroundings, if you don't want to drive the car all the time.
Alicante is a very nice city to visit and have a nice dinner and a walk along the beach, more quiet and a place where you can chill. Benidorm is a place to go, if you need action during the night. Lots of night clubs (or discoteques, as they say in Spain..) and bars, specially for younger and wilder taste in nightlife.
Casa Doric is children-friendly (although does not have a separate pool for kids), but because it is in 2levels, would not recommend it to someone in a wheelchair. Besides that I can honastly recommend Casa Doric to everyone needing a private holiday in the sunny Costa Blanca!

For about the same price as a reasonable hotel room you get a 3 bed room villa with its own pool - what have i been doing all these years?
The Villa represented fantastic value for money - the neighbourhood would disappoint those looking for a wild night life but we loved the under developed nature of the area. The Villa was great - dining over looking the pool - privately, with no noise was fantastic. We loved taking the local train from just around the corner to other resorts a real bonus. Looking forward to a return visit
